Baton Rouge, LA, Oct. 19. 2011 -- Today, Arkel International, LLC, announced that it has been awarded a Design-Build Services contract of $28.7 million from the U.S. Department of State's Office of Acquisition Management. Arkel International will provide design and construction services and contract coordination and supervision for the facilities necessary to establish Life Support and Services for Camp Prosperity in Bagdad, Iraq. Arkel International was selected as the Prime Contractor based on a competitively bid process where it submitted the technically acceptable low bid.

"After eight years of working with the U.S. Government, Arkel International and its employees are proud to continue to support our troops and civilians in their overseas missions," said George H. Knost, president of Arkel International.
